brand strategy, rebrand and activation

Being asked to deliver a rebrand is always an exciting brief, but doing it for one of the UK’s largest co-operative brands was a pretty special brief.

After almost two years of research, planning, design development and testing with customers and members we’re so proud of our work on the new branding for Central Co-op (formerly Central England Co-operative).  Central Co-op was our founding client at FAN and our first task was to help them define their purpose, which launched last year – Creating a sustainable Society for all.

The creation of this new branding is designed to bring its transformation into a more modern, bold and relevant co-op to life, whilst retaining all the warmth of its community roots and people centric purpose. Every touchpoint was considered in our design development, from store facias, to carrier bags, till receipts, staff name badges and HQ office walls!

The branding has been positively received by customers, members and the wider industry and we can’t wait to see it come to life across the network of retail stores, funeral homes and wider digital network.
